What to Look For in a PPF Shop
A professional PPF shop should have several key qualities.
Climate-controlled environment — PPF adhesive is sensitive to temperature and humidity. Shops that install in open-air garages or non-climate-controlled spaces risk poor adhesion and dust contamination.
Computer-cut patterns — Pre-cut patterns ensure precise fitment for every vehicle model. Hand-cutting is acceptable for experienced installers, but computer-cut patterns provide consistency.
Certified installers — Look for technicians trained and certified by the film manufacturers (such as Suntop, XPEL or 3M). Certification means the installer has completed formal training on that specific product.
Portfolio of work — Ask to see completed installations on vehicles similar to yours. A reputable shop will have plenty of examples.

Unusually low prices — Quality PPF film costs a certain amount per metre. If a quote is significantly below market, the shop may be using inferior film, cutting corners on preparation, or employing untrained staff.
No visible workspace — Be wary of shops that won't let you see where the work happens. A professional installation facility should be clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled.
No warranty paperwork — Every quality PPF installation should come with manufacturer warranty documentation. If the shop can't provide this, they may not be using genuine, warrantied film.
Pressure to decide quickly — A reputable shop is happy for you to compare options and think about your decision. High-pressure sales tactics are a red flag.
