Why Your Hood Takes the Most Damage
The hood is the single most vulnerable panel on any car. It faces directly into oncoming road debris: stone chips, sand, gravel, and insect impacts all concentrate on this forward-facing surface. Industry data shows the hood absorbs roughly 40% of all impact damage to a vehicle.
In Dubai, this problem is amplified. Highway construction zones scatter loose aggregate across every major route. The E11, E311, and Al Khail Road are chip factories for unprotected paint. One drive from Dubai Marina to Abu Dhabi can leave a dozen micro-chips on an unprotected hood.
Hood PPF is the most cost-effective entry point into paint protection. If your budget does not stretch to full body PPF, starting with the hood gives you the highest return on investment.
Hood PPF Cost in Dubai
Hood PPF is one of the most affordable protection upgrades you can make.
- Standard sedan/coupe hood: AED 1,200 to AED 1,800 - SUV/large vehicle hood: AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 - Supercar/exotic hood (carbon fibre or complex curves): AED 2,000 to AED 3,500
Compare this to the cost of repainting a chipped hood: AED 2,000-5,000 depending on the vehicle and paint type. PPF pays for itself after preventing just one significant chip.
We use computer-cut film from Suntop, XPEL, and 3M, precision-fitted to your exact model. No trimming on the car, no knife marks near your paint. See our full PPF pricing guide for complete package options.
Hood PPF vs Full Front End Protection
If you are protecting the hood, consider whether the front bumper and fenders should be included. These panels also face forward and take significant debris hits.
A typical front-end PPF package covers the hood, front bumper, fenders, and headlights. This costs AED 3,500 to AED 6,500, roughly double the hood-only price but protecting 80% of the most vulnerable surfaces.
Our partial PPF packages are designed for exactly this scenario. You get the highest-impact protection without the full-body price. Many clients start with a front-end package and add rear coverage later.
For those who want complete coverage from day one, our full body PPF starts from AED 6,500 and covers every painted panel.
The Installation Process
Hood PPF installation at our Al Quoz studio takes 2-4 hours depending on vehicle complexity.
The process begins with thorough surface preparation: hand wash, chemical decontamination, and clay bar treatment to remove any embedded contaminants. The surface must be perfectly clean for the adhesive to bond properly.
We then apply the computer-cut film using a wet application technique. This allows precise positioning before the adhesive sets. Edges are wrapped into panel gaps for an invisible finish.
After application, the film is heat-set using infrared lamps to activate the adhesive and conform the film to body contours. You can drive the car immediately, but avoid washing for 7 days to allow full adhesive cure.
Every installation includes our 7-day quality check: return to the studio for a free inspection under specialised lighting.
