Do you use pre-cut patterns or hand-cut on the vehicle? Pre-cut patterns, generated from a database like XPEL Design Access, produce cleaner edges and reduce the risk of knife marks on painted surfaces. Hand cutting directly on the car is faster but introduces risk.
What is included in the warranty, and who backs it? The manufacturer warranty covers film defects. The installer warranty covers workmanship: edge lifting, bubbling, and installation failures. You need both. Ask to see both in writing.
How long is the installation timeline? A quality full body PPF installation takes 3 to 5 days. Studios promising overnight or same-day full body installs are cutting corners on film relaxation time, panel preparation, or edge work.
What surface preparation do you do before installation? At minimum, a decontamination wash and clay bar treatment are required. For cars with existing swirls or paint defects, paint correction before PPF is necessary. Applying PPF over uncorrected paint locks the defects in permanently.

How Does Pricing Compare Across Dubai PPF Studios?
PPF pricing in Dubai varies considerably across studios, and the reasons behind the variation matter more than the number itself.
For a mid-size sedan, full body clear PPF in Dubai typically ranges from AED 8,500 to AED 13,000 at reputable studios using premium film. Studios quoting AED 4,000 to AED 6,000 for full body are either using entry-level or unbranded film, hand-cutting with higher risk of knife marks, or significantly abbreviating the installation process.

The honest benchmark: if two studios are using the same certified film from the same distributor, their pricing should be within 15 to 20% of each other. A larger gap usually indicates one studio is using a different (lower-grade) film or a different process.
Installer Experience Matters as Much as Film Brand
PPF installation is a craft skill. The film itself is only part of the outcome. How the installer manages stretching around complex curves, handles door jambs, tucks edges, and works with heat guns on delicate surfaces directly determines how the finished job looks and how long it lasts.
An experienced installer can make a mid-tier film look exceptional. A poor installer can ruin a premium film. Look for studios with verifiable work history, real before-and-after documentation on specific vehicle models, and installers who are willing to show you their workspace and tools.

Overheating film that is already pre-warmed by ambient temperature is a common cause of micro-stress points that fail within two to three years.
