What is the car wrapping price in Dubai?
Car wrapping price in Dubai ranges from AED 1,500 for a single panel (bonnet, roof, or boot) to AED 19,000 or more for a full wrap on a large SUV using premium cast vinyl. The majority of full car wraps for sedans and mid-size SUVs fall between AED 6,500 and AED 12,000 depending on vinyl grade and shop quality.
The variation is wide because the market in Al Quoz and surrounding areas includes everything from legitimate certified installers to pop-up shops using poor-quality calendered vinyl that lifts within six months of Dubai's heat. Understanding what drives the price helps you get a fair quote and avoid a job that needs redoing.
According to pricing data from 3M UAE's official FAQ, no two wraps are priced the same because every vehicle, colour, and finish combination has different coverage requirements.
How much does a full car wrap cost in Dubai?
A full car wrap in Dubai typically costs:
- Standard sedan (Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima): AED 6,500 to AED 9,000 - Sports car or coupe: AED 8,000 to AED 14,000 (complex curves, additional labour) - Large SUV (Land Cruiser, Patrol, GMC Yukon): AED 10,000 to AED 19,000 - Luxury/exotic (Porsche, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce): AED 15,000 and above
These ranges assume standard cast vinyl from established brands (3M, Avery Dennison, Stek). The vinyl material itself accounts for roughly 40-50% of the job cost. A full wrap uses 16-25 metres of film depending on vehicle size.
If you see a full wrap advertised for AED 3,000 to AED 4,000, the shop is almost certainly using cheap calendered vinyl. Calendered vinyl shrinks in Dubai's heat, lifts at edges within 6-12 months, and cannot handle tight curves without wrinkles. It is not a money-saving option when you factor in reapplication costs.

What affects car wrapping price most?
Four variables drive most of the price difference between quotes.
First, vinyl grade. Cast vinyl (3M 1080, Avery Dennison SW900) stretches around curves, resists heat, and lasts 5-7 years in Dubai conditions. Calendered vinyl is cheaper but shrinks and fades. The difference in material cost is AED 800 to AED 2,000 on a full wrap job.
Second, vehicle complexity. A BMW M4 with compound curves at the rear arch costs significantly more to wrap than a Camry with flat panels. Each complex section adds 30-60 minutes of labour.
Third, colour and finish. Colour-shift vinyls (chameleon wraps) and specialty finishes like chrome or brushed metal cost more than standard satin or gloss. These films are harder to source and apply.
Fourth, surface preparation. If your car has existing paint damage, rust bubbles, or a poor respray, the installer has to either address those issues or accept a worse finish. Shops that price low typically skip preparation entirely.
Partial wrap pricing: bonnet, roof and bumper
Partial wraps are a cost-effective option if you want a colour accent or protection on specific panels without a full colour change.
Typical partial wrap prices in Dubai: - Bonnet only: AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 - Roof only: AED 1,200 to AED 2,000 - Boot lid: AED 1,000 to AED 1,800 - Front bumper: AED 800 to AED 1,500 - Racing stripes (bonnet + roof): AED 2,000 to AED 3,500 - Two-tone roof and mirrors: AED 2,500 to AED 4,000
Partial wraps use the same quality vinyl as full wraps; the lower price reflects less material and less labour time. They are particularly popular in Dubai for black roof and mirror treatments on white or silver SUVs.

Car wrap vs paint: which costs less in Dubai?
For a colour change, wrapping almost always costs less than a professional respray in Dubai. A quality full respray at a reputable body shop runs AED 15,000 to AED 40,000 depending on vehicle size and paint quality. A full premium vinyl wrap achieves a comparable result for AED 8,000 to AED 14,000.
The wrap also offers an advantage that paint does not: reversibility. When you remove a wrap, the original paint is revealed underneath (assuming it was applied over good original paint). This matters for lease return and resale value in the UAE market where original factory paint is considered the standard.
The trade-off is longevity. Premium paint lasts indefinitely with proper care. A vinyl wrap in Dubai conditions needs replacing every 5-7 years if you want it looking sharp. Over 10 years, the cost of two wraps likely exceeds the cost of one quality paint job.
If your goal is temporary colour change, event vehicles, or protecting original paint while personalising the look, wrapping wins. If you want a permanent colour change you never want to reverse, professional paint is the better long-term investment.
How to get an accurate car wrapping price in Dubai
Get at least three quotes and ask each shop the same questions: what vinyl brand and grade are they using, what is their warranty period, and can they show recent completed work on a similar vehicle.
A reputable installer will tell you the exact film brand and series without hesitation. If they say "premium vinyl" without specifying the brand, walk away. Legitimate installers use 3M, Avery Dennison, Stek, or similar certified films because those brands provide warranty claims support.
Also ask about the trim removal process. The highest quality wraps involve removing door handles, trim pieces, and sometimes bumpers to wrap panels edge-to-edge. This is more labour-intensive but the result looks factory-finished rather than wrapped. Budget shops wrap over trim, which shows visible film edges within months.
Our colour wrapping team in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2 uses Suntop and 3M cast films exclusively. We provide a written quote with the film specification before any work starts.
